The experience behind the advice

From the first team
to the boardroom.

Nick knows the changing demands of a consulting business from inside the organisation: winning work, recruiting consultants, developing business managers, leading a division and taking full P&L responsibility.

At ALTEN, his roles progressed from managing 35 consultants to leading an engineering division of 320 FTE. At Aixial, his global executive role included an international reorganisation covering 500 FTE. Those were different roles, organisations and chapters, each with its own management challenges.

He founded Follis in 2019. Today, that operating experience informs his advisory and coaching work with consulting-company founders, partners and leadership teams.

03 / Three recurring themes

What the numbers
sit behind.

Growth is a combination of commercial choices, an organisation that can deliver and people who can take the next level of responsibility.

Build / ALTEN Engineering

Develop the leaders
who carry the growth.

Scaling the engineering division required more than recruitment. It meant developing business managers, building the management team and creating space for future directors to take responsibility.

Integrate / ALTEN Belgium

Bring the organisation
back into alignment.

Establish / Aixial Switzerland

into an operating business.

Your privacy

Follis is responsible for the optional website analytics described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact n.allaert@follis.be.

With your permission, this site counts page views, entry-page views and email-link clicks to understand which content attracts attention. Analytics stays off until you allow it. Rejecting it has no effect on the rest of the site. No earlier activity is replayed after you consent.

The analytics database stores only daily counts by approved page, event and broad source category. It does not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, visitor identifiers, full referrer URLs, search terms, URL query strings or email contents. No advertising pixels or fingerprinting are used. Entry-page views are an approximation based on the referrer, not a count of sessions or unique people.

Your analytics choice and its expiry are stored on this device for 180 days solely to remember your preference. You can change it in Analytics settings or withdraw permission using the button below. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override consent. Browser storage failures keep analytics off.

Daily aggregate rows older than 366 days are removed on the next accepted collection event. Aggregate counts cannot be linked back to you. Withdrawal stops future collection; existing unlinked counts cannot identify or isolate your previous activity.
